To reach out and touch alife

Our heavenly Father has many things planned for us in this life time and we may not always understand the "what and why fors" but if we listen too Him and follow as He leads we will see the reasons and stop questioning Him.

This is how this ministry at Brightmoore Nursing Home has effected so many of us over the years,at first it seems that its a "must-do"and then when you reach out and make a difference in the life of an elderly person and truly see the impression left there you truly start too understand the"what and why fors".

To sit and hold a hand and talk and have prayer with these angels is beyond disciption,when you can truly listen too them and hear from their hearts and the roads they have traveled in their lifetime is awsome.When you hear a person tell you that they "have been waiting for you to get there " and they reach out to you to hold hands is again awsome.

Over the years we have seen lives changed by this ministry and seen revival in souls that would otherwise lay dormate in those final years,I personally praise God for what feels like revival each and every week,too hear the praises and testamoinys and lifes the were and are lead for God is again AWSOME.

The most important decision we make in this life is where we will spend our eternal life!And with whom.When we make that choice,we,re not only ready for eternity...we,re also ready for life now,and our heavenly Father says too share that joy with brothers and sisters and that is the focal point of our ministry at Brightmoore,too share with the family we have there.

Again I personally take this time to invite you to join us one thrusday evening and see if God touches your heart here,we start at 6:30 and end at 7:30,we are there much earlier too visit and walk the hallways so if you feel touched too try with love I say come on down.

When losing a friend

Because of the nature of our ministry we know that we are going to lose some of our very dear brothers and sisters as time goes on in this ministry.With that said we lost a very dear and close friend at Brightmoore last sunday,and as we say all the time that yes we may have a burden and heavy heart in the loss of a resident at Brightmoore we also rejoice in the fact that we know they are in heaven with our Lord Jesus and family and friends and there is no more suffering and pain,only joy and thanksgiving for the prize of being on that street of gold and marveling at the face of God.
It is with that testimony that we let go here on earth of Joyce Lowrimore and know that she made that final trip and is in heaven.We love you Joyce and know that someday we will all walk down that street of gold and and raise our voices in songs of worship and praise and be together for ever in Gods kingdom.
We praise God for your life here on earth and the many lives you touched.

Wonderful service

Last thursday at Brightmoore we had what was one of the most heart touching praise evening in all the many nights we have been at Brightmoore. The feeling of the Lord Jesus was truly with us and the residents were so uplifting too us.As we have always said its the residents at the nursing home that reach out too us and bless us so much and you could really feel the "family of God" coming together last thursday evening.
The praise reports and testimonys that were given were awsome.When we can come together with folks that have already lead such a wonderful life and to share it with others as they do us is beyond words.
In sharing this with you I would also say that if you are ever touched too come join us we are there at Brightmoore every thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30, we do nothing by a prewritten script but as we loving always say "we shoot from the hip" in how ever God leads us and it has truly blessed this outreach ministry.Consider coming one evening and be ready for how God will touch your heart.

Introduction to Brightmoor

First of all let me share with you that this is my first time for manageing a web page so pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee bear with me as I work thought some problems.

The first thing that I would like to share with you is that yes this ministry is from Crestview B.C.,but as we have always said that we may be there every thrusday "it is the residents of Brightmoore that minister to us".First and formost its "all about Him" and not us. And yes we may be southern Baptist but there is all different faiths within the residents at Brightmoore so we do not go and preach one faith again I say that "its all about Him".

I would like to share some personal testamony of what God has done in my life through this ministry.Everyweek when my wife Theresa and I perpare our thrusday and time at Brightmoore we are truly blessed and as we get there and set up the activity room and start to mingle with the residents by walking the hallways and talking with the nurses and aids and the residents and having prayer with some that may not be able to join us at 6:30 when we promply start everyweek we TRULY feel the Lord Jesus walking the hallways with us.

The fun and laughter that we can share and the prayer time with these Angels is so much more than what words can say and it is truly a beautiful picture of Gods working in our lives and those who are traveling in this final journey here on earth before they go home to be with the Lord and loved ones that have gone on before them.So many times the outreach that is shared is the strenght and uplifting we need to walk this walk .

We ask you as you read this testamony to be in prayer for this ministry to continue and praise God for those who are so faithful Every thrusday evening to come and share with those in need. Josephine,Larry,Jerry,W.L. Jane Debra,Skyler ,Marisa,Judy, and as you pray ask God our Heavenly Father to touch your heart and join us .I can say with any problem that YOU will never know if you were meant to assit in the outreach of this ministry untill you talk with God and pray about it.Some are lead to join us week after week and we are blessed and others maybe once or twice everyother month and we thank God for that outreach and what God has done in their lives.

We do not lead this ministry by a written script but always share with everyone that we do "as He leads us" everyweek,and have been blessed .I end here again with as you read this please be in prayer for the ministry and ask God to show you how to "put a smile on their face & joy in their hearts " by joining us one week
